Alastair MacKinven was born in Clatterbridge, UK, in 1971 and lives and works in London, where he studied at Goldsmiths College from 1994 – 1996. Solo exhibitions include “Alastair MacKinven Performances 2006 – 2009” at Focal Point Gallery, Southend-on-Sea (2009), “Nought to Sixty, ET SIC IN INFINITUM AGAIN” at ICA, London (2008) as well as a Solo Project with HOTEL at Liste 07, Basel (2007).

The artist‘s work was also shown in various group exhibitions such as “Summer Show” (curated by Margherita Hohenlohe) at Schloss Bartenstein, Bartenstein, “Zodiac 3000, The Reach of Tomorrow” at International Project Space, Birmingham and “Strange Events Permit Themselves the Luxury of Occurring” at Camden Arts Centre, London (all in 2008). Alastair MacKinven is represented by HOTEL, London.
